Much Wenlock Male voice choir is seeking a principal musical accompanist.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone to enter the world of male voice choirs.

A registered charity with a strong community base, the choir is committed to delivering a first-class musical experience and performs a wide repertoire of songs, both traditional and popular, over many years.

The choir is non competitive with an emphasis on ‘singing for pleasure’ and has performed widely in the UK. (See website at www.mwmvchoir.org.uk for more information.)

The successful candidate will accompany the choir at their practices, held on Tuesdays, 7.30 – 9.30pm at The William Brookes School in Much Wenlock for approximately 44 weeks a year. They will also be available to perform at concerts in Shropshire and elsewhere and at other ‘ad hoc’ events such as weddings. We would normally expect to sing at 10-12 such events annually.

A good communicator, with good listening and interpersonal skills, the candidate will be able to demonstrate personal qualities of loyalty, respect for others and commitment.
