This training event is part of the Take Art’s SoundWaves Network SW Youth Music and Somerset Music Hub funded programme.

Through a mix of guided, self-directed and adult led strategies, this session will explore some approaches that support musical behaviour and creative play in the EYFS.

In this session we will:

Learn how to incorporate a range of typical classroom resources and children’s books as a starting point for music making, songwriting and the freedom to imagine, perform and improvise.
Explore some of the theories that explain how being musical underpins social skills, communication and interactions.
How to use music to have even more fun in the EYFS classroom, learn about your children and enable children’s voice.
