Community Music Now is a collaborative production between Sound Sense, Leeds Beckett University and AMP, exploring innovative practice in community music. This two-day event will take place on 1 & 2 March 2025 in Leeds and is aimed at both emerging and experienced practitioners and researchers, with opportunities to connect, share, celebrate and learn from each other.
The programme will include presentations from Manasamitra, Sounds Better CIC, Brass Bands England & Shepherd Brass Band, AMP Plugged In Young Producers, an ICCM researchers panel, and a Community Music Platform. There will also be practical careers sessions, including mentoring skills, being self-employed and applying for funding. The full programme will be released in early 2025, so watch this space and keep an eye on our socials!
