New project from Musical Arc

Summary:
Musical Arc, a pioneering ensemble of disabled and non-disabled musicians and a Sound Sense member, has recently announced a new project
Date Posted:
25 Nov 2009

Having recently secured funding from Leeds Community Foundation and Arts Council England, Musical ARC’s next project is full steam ahead. The two-stage project is called Leading-on and begins with a programme of mentoring and training undertaken by Pyramid of Arts. Between September and December 2009 Pyramid will work alongside Musical ARC offering support and review to music workers and volunteers, and, assisting with some members’ desire to take a leading role in workshops and performances.

The second element of the programme is a new production to be based on an Indian Harvest story and likely to be collaboration with a leading dancer and story-teller. The production will be performed at The Venue, and other locations within Leeds in April 2010.
